Its name comes from the Persian – Indian language and precisely from the word Kour Koum, which means saffron, turmeric is in fact known as the Saffron of the Indies. It contains minerals such as: calcium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, selenium, manganese and copper. It contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, vitamin C, vitamin E, K and J.
